One of Monika Kaden's philosophies is to practice her artistic creative process in different cultures of the world to experience the influence of the interwoven spirits of art and the environment. She combines the background from which she is coming with new experiences.
With her classical background, along with a lifetime of studying a full range of art disciplines, she has developed her facility to design the pieces that she or the clients have in mind.
Monika Kaden sculpts her bronzes first in water-based indigenous clay from the surrounding area in which she works. "This is important to my process as it connects me with the land", she says. She also casts and finishes the bronzes in foundries nearby.
Kaden is known to work her pieces from the beginning to the end. To have the chance to change or to add whenever it is proportionally necessary. In addition to the composition, the artist often finishes her sculptures with colored patinas and often finishes key areas of the sculpture with 22 Karat Gold or Platinum Leaf. Each piece is unique and signed by the artist.
Monika Kaden likes to work with clients from concept through execution to final completion. She exemplifies a commitment to creativity and craftsmanship. Her artwork is classic contemporary and timeless. She is recognized for scaling her artwork to fit the client's design scheme and setting, both indoors and outside.
